About
I received my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manipal University, India in 2008. As an undergraduate, I was involved with research in Biomedical Imaging and Physics at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, on a fellowship from Government of India. I worked on my undergraduate thesis in Liechtenstein/Switzerland at the Corporate Research and Technology division, Hilti AG, on developing signal processing based algorithms for mechatronic systems.
I joined the department of ECE, University of Rochester as a PhD student in september 2008. My interests lie in the areas of Cardiovascular Imaging, Molecular Imaging and Numerical Methods in Ultrasound Elastography.
In the past three years, I have worked on ultrasound microbubble dynamics, numerical simulation of Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) Elastography, Nonlinear (subharmonic/harmonic) contrast IVUS Imaging and characterizing CMUT devices for ultrasound imaging.
