About
A cross-disciplinary artist and scholar, Joel Neville Anderson produces experimental narrative and documentary cinema while specializing in the study of Japanese film. His work has been exhibited at film festivals and alternative exhibition spaces, as well as published online and in print. He is pursuing an MA/PhD degree in the University of Rochester's Visual and Cultural Studies program and is an alumni of Purchase College’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts & Film. As an educator and administrator he has worked with the Museum of the Moving Image, Japan Society, the Jacob Burns Film Center, Purchase College, the New School and DCTV. Joel is based in New York City.
